Rafting Intensity Levels
OWL offers three distinct adventure levels designed to accommodate everyone from families with toddlers to extreme thrill-seekers:
Low Intensity (Soft Adventure): Best for first-timers, older adults, and families. Requires a minimum weight of 50 lbs (23 kg). The risk of falling into the river is very low.
Medium Intensity (Adventure Rafting): The most popular option. Requires a minimum weight of 90 lbs (41 kg). Features active paddling through big waves and opportunities for body surfing or cliff jumping.
High Intensity (Sport Rafting): Aimed at adrenaline junkies who are strong swimmers. Features smaller, faster boats with a high risk of being flipped or tossed overboard into turbulent waters.

The Day Trip Experience
All full-day rafting excursions last approximately 8 hours from arrival to departure. A standard trip includes:
Preparation: Safety briefing, gear fitting (helmets, life jackets, and paddles), and a short shuttle to the river entry point.
The Descent: Navigating the maze of river channels alongside a highly certified, passionate guide.
The BBQ Cruise: At the end of the rapids, guests board a massive pontoon boat where a freshly grilled buffet meal is served as you float back to the resort.
Video Presentation: Back at the pavilion, teams gather to watch professional video replays and photos captured during their run.

Resort & Accommodations
The property is a multi-day vacation hub, meaning you do not have to leave right after your trip. Guests have access to an array of resort amenities, including a large floating swim dock, a white sandy beach, volleyball courts, a 9-hole disc golf course, a life-size grass maze, and a sauna.
For overnight stays, the OWL Rafting Wilderness Resort offers several accommodation tiers:
Tents: Standard tent sites and designated paddler camping zones.
RV Sites: Pull-in spaces featuring electrical and water hookups.
Rustic Cabins & Luxury Cabanas: Hard-roof options, with premium cabanas featuring private ensuite washrooms.

Trip Planning & Seasonality
The rafting season runs from mid-May through mid-September. May and June feature higher water levels due to spring runoff, offering the biggest waves, while July and August deliver warmer air temperatures and gentler river flows perfect for families. Day trips range roughly from $130 to $200 CAD, while multi-day stay-and-raft packages span $140 to $325 CAD depending on accommodation and intensity selection.
