Immersive Habitats & Exhibits
The zoo transports you across seven different themed zones representing global ecosystems and wildlife:
Wild Canada: Reimagined to showcase seven distinct Canadian landscapes, this exhibit is home to native species like woodland caribou, polar bears, whooping cranes, and grizzly bears.
Destination Africa: Features a safari experience where you can observe hippos, meerkats, giraffes, and gorillas.
Exploration Asia: Home to the majestic Amur tigers, Komodo dragons, and rare Malayan tapirs.
Penguin Plunge: A highly popular indoor/outdoor exhibit allowing you to get an up-close, underwater look at several penguin species.
ENMAX Conservatory & Gardens: A peaceful, tropical escape featuring botanical displays, butterflies, and the Dorothy Harvie Gardens.
Prehistoric Park: A seasonal (May–September) walkthrough that takes you back in time to view life-sized animatronic replicas of Alberta’s ancient creatures.

Getting Around: The zoo is located directly across from the CTrain line (Zoo Station). Note that the West Gate remains closed for construction, so you will need to access the grounds via the North Gate
